Finally finished up my 12 weeks of cutting.
I offically ended it Sunday. After 12 weeks of cutting, I ended up getting down to 10.1% bodyfat as measured by my bodyfat caliper. I did not take a reading when I first started but would guess it was around 20%.
Not bad for 12 weeks. I was happy with the results and pleased that I did not cheat at all during the 3 months. I was dead on for the entire time. It is going to be good to get back to a more normal eating plan. Not to much cheating though.

Today I am 3 days out from the end of my cut diet. I have stopped salting everything and am down to .75 gallons of water for the day. For someone who is used to almost 2 gallons a day, this is a challenge.
I have also switched over all vegetable servings to asparagus and all fat servings to avacado.
Tomorrow things change up a bit. I will reduce water intake to a little as I can take and in place of my carb load meal I will be having some fillet, baked potatoe, asparagus, and oatmeal with raisins and honey. And following an 1 1/2 hours after that I will get a big piece of chocolate cake.
I am not sure the reasoning behind this, I am just following the plan exactly as I would if I was getting ready to compete. I am curious to see how my body responds to all of this.

As I have already posted, this is my last week on my cut diet.
For the better part of the last 12 weeks I have had a high amount of energy. Just in the last couple of weeks has my energy started to fall. This last week has bben hard as my energy levels are at their lowest.
I am on restricted water intake this week and I think that has had some effect on me. This will continue until Sunday morning.
Todays workout is the last weight training session before this is all done with. I am going to do out and try to get an increase in weight/reps on all my lifts and finish out this cut diet on a strong note.

I have entered my last week of my cut diet.
This diet it geared toward someone getting ready for a bodybuilding show. Therefore, the last week is designed to get the person to peak after the last week. I wasn't going to do this week when I started, I was just going to do all 12 weeks the same and see what happened. Monday morning while doing cario I decided I would follow the last week just like I am getting ready for a show.
The first few days require salting of all food and drinking a large amount of water. I began this yesterday and will continue for another day or 2. Then water is reduced and some changes made. We will see what happens.
I have never put myself through something like this so I am curious how my body will respond.

Here is my workout for yesterday:
Standing Barbell Push Press - 128 x 15
Dumbbell Preacher Curls - 40 x 12
Partial Squats - 350 x 5 sets x 3 reps superset with dumbbell pullovers - 20 x 15
Seated Calve Raises - 425 x 20, 425 x 10
Leg Raises - bw x 20, bw x 20, bw x 15
The push press is coming along. My shoulders are plenty sore today. I will continue to keep adding weight each workout and hopefully get up around 160 lbs for 15 reps by years end.
I am on my last week of cutting and am looking forward to some real food come Sunday. It has been a long 12 weeks.

I have been on The Cut Diet now for 10 1/2 weeks.
And I can honestly say that I have not had anything that wasn't on the plan. I have stuck to it 100%. No cheat meals, no nothing. It has been over 10 weeks of chicken, brocolli, almonds, and avacados plus my every third day carb load. It has been a challenge and I miss having other things but I have not broke.
This diet has given me great results. I have leaned out alot, continued to get stronger, and have never been hungry.
I have another 10 days and then I am going to have a huge cheat meal.
I will definitely use this plan again. Probably at the start of the next year. I plan on spending the rest of the year building my strength and muscle mass to new levels and then will once again reduce my bodyfat.
On my way to 250 lbs at 8% bodyfat.

Here is my workout for yesterday.
Increased my squat 2 lbs and got the same reps as last time. It is starting to feel heavier, especially after having on my back for 7-8 minutes pumping out the reps.
I tried a different grip on the EZ curls(wider) and got one fewer rep.
Besides that everything is still going up. Staying on track even while cutting. Great feeling.
Dumbbell Shoulder Press - 60 x 12
EZ Bar Curls - 102 1/2 x 14
Squat - 259 x 27 superset with dumbbell pullovers - 20 x 15
One Legged Standing Calve Raises - 142 x 15, 142 x 12
Leg Raises - bw x 20, bw x 20, bw x 14

Here is my workout for Monday.
I am making good progress in all my lifts and am happy with how things are going especially being I am 9 weeks into my cut diet
Being able to keep increasing my lifts while cutting has been great. Normally I get weaker the farther I get but so far have not felt the effects of it. Only 3 weeks left cutting and then I will begin a clean bulk and really try to increase the weights I am using. I have some lofty goals for the end of the year.
Standing Barbell Push Press - 126 x 15
Dumbbell Preacher Curls - 40 x 12
Partial Squats - 345 x 5 sets x 3 reps superset with dumbbell pullovers - 20 x 15
Seated Calve Raises - 420 x 20, 420 x 11 (5 lb increase)
Leg Raises - bw x 20, bw x 20, bw x 13

It is time for rack deads again. Last time I did these(two weeks ago) I missed getting my 5 sets of 3. The last 2 sets I only got 1 rep.
This time I am looking for some improvement. I will be adding 2 lbs to the bar(508 lbs) and shooting for more reps than last time. Whether that is all 5 sets of 3 or just 1 more rep than last time, as long as I have made improvements, that is all that matters.
I will also be doing some incline bench press, reverse pullups, and dips.

Yesterday I added 2 lbs to my squat set. Well it felt like 20 lbs.
After only 5 reps I was starting to wonder if I would make it to my minimum goal of 25. It felt way heavier than the last time. I am not sure why. Just one of those workouts.
I didn't feel sluggish and everything before squats went up in weight and/or reps. Just wasn't my day for squats.
That being said I did manage to make 27 reps. Made my goal but just barely. I was glad when that set was over.
2 more pounds next time.

Now that I have gotten back to where I was at the end of last year, it is time to start working toward my goals for this year.
Todays workout I will be adding 2 lbs (which makes it 257 lbs) to my squat and hitting at least 25 reps.
I always try to hit at least 25. Sometimes I just make it and others I blow it out of the water. But 25 is my bottom number. After the last workout with high rep squats my legs were extremely sore. Hopefully after todays they won't be as bad.
This is a physical and mental killer.
